The thermal properties of heavy oils from different deposits were studied over wide temperature and pressure intervals. A procedure for the calculation of the pseudocritical state parameters of these oils was proposed on the basis of data on their density and kinematic viscosity at atmospheric pressure. The procedure can be used for the prediction of pseudocritical temperatures and pressures of natural hydrocarbon systems with unknown compositions.
