Multicomponent molding - In-mold techniques eliminate downstream operations to cut costs and boost quality
In-mold assembly, overmolding, and other multicomponent injection-molding techniques are helping processors cut costs by eliminating downstream operations, reducing scrap, and conserving floor space. Parts produced from multiple materials in a single cycle can also significantly improve quality and add value to finished products. Advances in tooling and machinery for multicomponent molding are presenting new opportunities for processors to take advantage of this technology.
