Comparative performance tests of an all-electric machine and two injection moulding machines with hydraulic and hydraulic accumulator drive systems have shown that hydraulic injection moulding machines equipped with the high-precision option from Battenfeld achieve nearly the same degree of precision as all-electric machines. However, all-electric machines have a clear advantage over hydraulic machines in terms of energy consumption.
