The ongoing debate about the value of pulsed cooling in the injection moulding process has prompted BASF AG to carry out trials to compare a pulsed cooling unit with a continuous cooling unit. In addition, the temperature control response of a pulsed cooling unit was monitored and evaluated after changes in the injection moulding process.
