High-modulus polyamides with high fibre-glass reinforcement are on the way to replacing polymers that can sustain high mechanical loads, such as polyarylamide, polyphenylene sulphide and polyphthalamide. Not only do they have comparable long-term properties, but they are also cheaper and easier to process.
