Temperature and frequency dependence of the complex permittivity of butyl rubber filled with silica
A systematic dielectric study over a frequency range from 10(-3) Hz to 107 Hz was carried out on butyl rubber mixed with SiO2. The wide temperature range used extended from -80 to 110degreesC. The absorption data were analysed using a computer program based on the Cole-Cole method. Four absorption regions were obtained in addition to conductivity contribution. Results are discussed and new assignments to the molecular origin of the four absorption regions are given.
