Experimental study of external catalytic packed-bed palladium membrane reactor with baffle rings
External catalytic packed-bed palladium membrane reactors with baffle rings were made to reduce radial gradients of concentrations and temperature. The effect of baffle rings was experimentally tested and compared with the simulated results. The leakage of gas between the baffle ring and the outer tube caused the decrease of the effectiveness of baffle rings. Improved palladium membrane reactors with baffle rings were proposed to prevent the leakage of gas.
