Establishment of operational procedures for batch control
A batch plant consists of many interacting plant units that perform tasks in parallel on several batches at the same time. This involves various sequence operations, but the construction of sequence controllers has been carried out heuristically or intuitively. This paper proposes a method of establishing operational procedures for batch control. In the method, plant and recipe information is first described by Petri nets; then a batch control system model is constructed by composing these nets, and last operational procedures are established by analyzing the model.
