Modelling of mixing time for ribbon impellers
Velocity distributions of liquid in a tank equipped with ribbon impellers during mixing of highly viscous liquids have been experimentally examined. The values of secondary circulation and mixing times were determined. Experimental results were compared with the results obtained from the mathematical model proposed in an earlier study. The effect of geometrical parameters of the impeller on mixing time was also determined.
