Daughter particle distribution for liquid-liquid dispersion in a turbulent flow
Dynamic behaviour of lean liquid-liquid dispersions is considered. Multifractal formalism is applied to model the influence of the fine-scale structure of turbulence on drop breakage rate in an agitated tank. Different types of child particle density function including distribution for multiple breakage are discussed and used to predict transient drop size distributions. Predicted DSD are compared with experimental data.
