Hydrodynamics of a trickle-bed reactor operating at a liquid-induced pulsing flow
The subject of the research was the hydrodynamics of a trickle-bed reactor operating at periodic liquid feed. The changes of the liquid velocity were modulated by means of the SLOW and FAST modes. The boundaries of the changes of the hydrodynamic regime of the reactor operation from GCF to LIPF were determined. The basis hydrodynamic parameters, i.e. liquid hold-up and gas pressure drop were measured for liquid-induced pulsing flow. The paper presents the results of experiments aimed at determining the effect of changes in physicochemical properties of the liquid phase on the values of the specified parameters.
