Statistical theory of the contact of rough surfaces has been extended to curved surfaces. Equations of contact parameters for various geometric configurations including a spherical particle have been developed. They appear to be a complete mathematical description of the surface state in a microscopic scale being required in the calculation of capillary adhesion forces for powder particles of an intermediate size.
