The values of the sape coefficient were determined by the Powers method (K), the quantitative method (1/L), and a new comparative method (1/k). The coefficient 1/k represents the out-of-roundness degree of packed grains in the relation to bed of spheres with the same size distribution as the material investigated. The lowest values of the shape coefficients were obtained by the Powers method. The values of the coefficients calculated by quantitative and comparative methods were comparable.
