A general mixing-precipitation model based on combining the model of mixing with the population balance and kinetics of precipitation is presented. Applied model includes effects of Brownian diffusion, bulk flow, and colloidal type forces. Results of experimental investigations of a semibatch precipitation of calcium oxalate and magnesium hydroxide are presented and compared with model predictions.
