There was shown how the decrease of the power exponent n in the equation of the velocity distribution in a cyclone affects dedusting. Basing on the equations derived the characteristic grain diameter was expressed as the function of the power exponent n by assuming definite parameters. Fractional efficiency is showed as a function of the particle diameter was investigated.
