We developed a pH dependent fiber entrapped microhydrogels based on SA and PLA polymer. The sprayed microparticles were ionically crosslinked with aqueous calcium chloride. The mixture of solvents and dissolution time control parameters can play an important role to dissolve out unentrapped fibers within microhydrogels by using vacuum filtration. Maximum swelling of microhydrogels was observed at pH 9 and minimum swelling at pH 2. Fluorescence and OM revealed uniform surfaces and smooth structures (bead free) of fibers entrapped microhydrogels. As the fiber density increases, it shows the number of fiber increased inside the microhydrogels. Fiber entrapped microhydrogels shows the magnetic response in presence of external magnetic field. Therefore, this microarchitecture may find applications in the design of wound-healing patches with long-term activity. |
