제목 Screening of β-2 microglobulin binding and aggregation ligand
초록 β-2 Microglobulin (β2m) is a major protein constituent of dialysis-related amyloidosis. It can aggregate into amyloid fibers and deposit in joint spaces. The incubation of β2m in vitro under acidic condition in the presence of seed fibril results in the formation of amyloid fibril. But the generation of amyloid fibrils under physiological conditions at is difficult. Our research has been focused on the screening of ligands which can bind and initiate the aggregation of β2m monomer. β-2 Microglobulin fibril faction or seed and synthetic peptide libraries were coupled on HiCore resin bead and tested for their removal activity of β2m.
