Based on the interaction between light and matter, the exploration of metal-organic framework (MOF)-based photocatalysis has gathered intensive efforts. Herein, porous nanosilica-based named dendritic fibrous nanosilica (DFNS) which is prevalent due to its utility properties such as high degree of porosity, excellent stability, ease of surface modification is successfully employed as the efficient template to manipulate DFNS-zirconia-based stable MOF hybrids. The functionalization of the as-prepared DFNS hybrids by carboxylate groups –COOH using carboxyethylsilanetriol sodium salt plays a pivotal role in the controllable synthesis of zirconia-based MOF via solvothermal process, and this leads to the formation of DFNS@Zr-MOF core-shell nanohybrids. For the next step, the enhanced photocatalytic activities of hybrid materials are also investigated thank to their unique advantages. |
