Electrical characteristics of ACF prepared by electrospinning and metal embedding method |

PAN-based electrospun carbon fibers were prepared with the addition of vanadium in order to obtain EDLC electrodes with high performance. Pore size was controlled was obtained through KOH activation. These small meso pores contributed to the high capacitance of the EDLC. Eventually, vanadium- and nitrogen-containing electrospun carbon fibers were prepared with small meso pore structures. Through cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic charge/discharge, we confirmed the positive attributes associated with vanadium incorporation and pore size control that demonstrate a high specific capacitance of about 127 F g-1 and show a high performance even over a wide range of current densities (from 0.5 to 20 A g-1). |
