A recent trend in the molecule design of OTFTs matches electron donor and electron acceptor pairs (D-A type). That design concept have various advantages, like an easily modified band gap to help increase charge transfer along the polymer backbone. Also, intermolecular charge transport and interdomain charge transfer can be increased through strong intermolecular interaction between D-A units. Recently, our group reported NDT-based copolymer with thiophenes, fully aromatic system and a rigid π-conjugation. In this work, we designed and synthesized PNDT-B and PNDT-TBT using NDT as a donor units. They were successfully synthesized by Suzuki and Stille coupling. PNDT-TBT exhibited a high hole mobility after annealing at 200 ℃. The high mobility of PNDT-TBT resulted from a high degree of crystallinity, as evident from XRD studies. |
