제목 비구형 콜로이드 입자 간의 전기적 상호작용 : 데리야긴의 방법과 수치적 계산의 비교
초록 Electrostatic interactions between nonspherical colloids are computed numerically
and compared with those obtained by the Derjaguin approximation. Facilitating thecomplex geometry of the problem, the boundary element method is used. The principalradius of curvature of the particle surface at the points of minimum separation and theaspect ratio of the particle are the important variables in determining the accuracydomain of the Derjaguin approximation. On the basis of the Derjaguin approximation,the interaction torque calculated by surface integration of the force exerted on theparticle surface is more accurate than those by differentiating the free energy withrespect to the generalized coordinates of the system.
