Polyurethane Foam(PUF) with low thermal conductivity and high mechanical properties is used in a wide field. A high insulation characteristic of them, used as insulation in such fields as building embeds, LNG storage tanks, etc. However, the combustible polymer, PUF, is used as a form of polyurethane modified polyisocyanate foam(PUR-PIR) containing thermally stable isocyanurate rings when high flame retardant and heat resistance are required, such as architectural embeds. In this study, we changed the NCO Index of the synthesized PUR-PIR, and developed a PUR-PIR synthesis process with high thermal stability. In addition, recently, PUR-PIR was synthesized using HFOs to replace HCFCs and HFCs, which are limited in use due to ozone depletion and global warming problems. The quantitative analysis of isocyanurate ring of PUR-PIR synthesized by different NCO Index and the thermal stability of the foam accordingly were compared to identify the optimum NCO index for synthesis of PUR-PIR. |
