Flexible polyimide films with high reflectivity were prepared through self-metallization procedure involving thermal reduction of silver 2-ethylhexylcarbamate at 135℃. Polyamic acid solutions were prepared from 3,3',4,4'-benzophenone tetracarboxylic dianhydride (BTDA) and 4,4'-oxydianiline (ODA) into dimethylacetamide (DMAc). Thermally curing the silver-doped polyimide film leads to flexible, metalized films which have high reflectivity, abrasion resistant property, thermal stability and electrical conductivity. The polyimide film were characterized by using X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and Thermo gravimetric (TGA) analysis. |
