Solution Processable 3D Crosslinked Microporous Polyurea Network |

Aromatic polyurea network was synthesized from tetrafunctionalized tetraphenylmethane derivatives. The rigid 3D network structure provided high free volume and prevented pore collapse. The polyurea network are insoluble in any solvent. X-ray data and water uptake experiment revealed that the materials are microporous. By controlling synthesis conditions, we were able to produce prepolymer solutions of the polyurea which enabled to obtain thin films having the highly crosslinked structure. |
