제목 Surface morphology of electrostatic self-assembled multilayer in relationship with optical properties
초록 Design and synthesis of polymers containing azo compound have attracted considerable interest in several research fields. The azo group offers several specific advantages; good chemical stability, good efficiency to transmit electronic effects, sensitivity of the electronic structure upon certain parameters such as acidity and possibility of cis-trans isomerization. We have synthesized and characterized azobispyridinium-bearing polyelectrolyte linked with flexible alkyl chain. We obtained multilayered thin film of polymer on plasma treated substrates via electrostatic layer-by-layer technique which proved to be an increasingly rich and versatile technique for the formation of multilayered thin films with a wide range of electrical, magnetic and optical properties. Properties of the ultra thin film was investigated through analysis of contact angle, thickness, and absorption. It was noted that morphology of multilayered surfaces was varied according to process conditions, which was observed with atomic force microscope.
