Effect of Co3O4 in the electrochemical characterization of La0.8Sr0.2CoO3 and Co3O4 composite for ORR and OER in alkaline solution. |

Lanthanum Strontium cobaltite, La0.8Sr0.2CoO3 (LSCO) is among the transition metal -oxide perovskites that are known to have good catalytic activity towards oxygen reduction (ORR) and evolution (OER) reaction. Co3O4 is a spinel-type metal-oxide that is also known for its high electrocatalytic activity for ORR and OER. The electrochemical behavior of these two catalysts have been studied separately or paired with other catalysts. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of Co3O4 in the ORR and OER performance of electrodes containing both LSCO and Co3O4. Cyclic voltammetry showed that the addition of Co3O4 has increased the ORR and OER catalytic activity of the prepared air cathode. |
