A series of BiVO4-AgVO3/CdS heterostructures were synthesized by photodeposition method. The obtained samples were characterized by XRD, BET, UVDRS, SEM, TEM, HRTEM, EDX, XPS, RAMAN, FTIR, EPR and PL. The BiVO4-AgVO3/CdS heterostructure exhibited excellent photocatalytic activity towards the hydrogen production under both natural and artificial solar irradiation. The optimal 1%BiVO4-AgVO3/CdS heterostructure exhibited the highest solar light driven activity, which could produce higher hydrogen yields compared to other photocatalysts. Recycling experiments confirmed that the 1%BiVO4-AgVO3/CdS heterostructure had superior cycle performance and stability. |
