My talk will be focused on the development of biofunctional organic molecules and organic-inorganic hybrid system for biomedical uses. One important trend in next-generation medicine is theranostics that is defined as the combination of therapeutics and diagnostics on a single platform. I will introduce a classical drug development process first, then present various organic-inorganic magnetic hybrid systems for theranostics with in vivo applications. More specifically, prostate cancer drug development, therapeutic hyperthermia, molecular level sensing and cell fate control will be discussed. |
