Preparation and Characterization of NiO/Activated Carbon for CO2 capture |

In this study, NiO/ACs were prepared by with different ratios of nickel nitrate through wet-method. The morphological properties were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The lattice and crystalline structure were measured using X-ray diffraction (XRD). The textural properties were investigated by N2/77 K adsorption-desorption isotherms using Bruanauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) equation. CO2 capture capacity were evaluated at 298 K and 1 bar. CO2 adsorption capacity was affected by the N content. From the results, it was confirmed that the CO2 adsorption capacity increased with increasing the amount of melamine. |
