제목 Manufacturing polyurethane foams for thermal insulation products
초록 Polyurethane foams (PU foams) are used as good insulation products in various industrial fields. Thermal conductivity of PU foams is mainly affected by inclusions of gaseous species in the cells. Thermal properties are also affected by average cell size, size distributions, and thermal conductivity of polymer matrix (structs and walls). For analyzing thermal conductivity and cell size of PU foams, heat flow meter (HFM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were used. PU foams with uniformly distributed small cells showed better thermal insulation property than those with unevenly distributed mixed cell sizes.
