The electric double layer capacitor(EDLC) is an electrochemical capacitor storing electrical energy by charging the electric double layer on a nanoporous carbon electrode such as activated carbon. Graphene is often suggested as a replacement for activated carbon in EDLC, in part due to its high relative surface area. In addition, graphene-based capacitors are expected to have high ionic conductivity, good thermal stability, good mechanical strength and excellent chemical stability. Recently, many researches on the hybridization of rGO and Ni foam, which is a conventional electrode material, to EDLC electrodes have been carried out. This research introduces a method for manufacturing rGO/Ni composite materials for EDLC electrode by hydrothermal synthesis and electrospray deposition. In this experiment, the microstructure and specific surface area of composite materials were controlled by using temperature and time as parameters. Accordingly, the increase of EDLC performance made of the nickel and rGO structure is confirmed by I-V curve analysis, capacitance. |
