Microcapsule(MIC) is the most useful device to deliver active materials. In this study, the shell consists of hydrophilic polymer and the core contains water-soluble materials. MIC swelling occurred by water absorption. So, the release of active reagents were easily. In w/o emulsion phase, polyvinyl alcohol, hydrophilic polymer, was used as shell material and cross-linked with glutaraldehyde by interfacial reaction. Microencapsulation was carried out during liquid curing coating process. MIC was synthesized by cross-linking reaction of shell with crosslinker in w/o emusion phase. The size and morphology of MIC were measured with DLS, SEM, and optical microscopy. Release of active reagent from MIC were measured by UV analyzer. The purpose of this experiment was to prepare microcapsules of 5~30㎛ that contained water-soluble reagent inside and to observe the release properties. |
