제목 Monte Carlo simulation of membrane fouling
초록 In this study off-lattice Monte Carlo method was developed to generate membrane pores with fixed size and randomly distributed in two dimensions plane. The permeability of particles through the pores was calculated according to whether the particles pass through the pores. Reasonable fouling rules for simulations were examined and selected. The influence of the size and number of the particles on the permeability and adsorption ratio was observed. The flux decreases as the filtration time increases. The simulation model developed in this study can be effectively for analyzing a number of factors influencing physical fouling of membrane.
