제목 Microcapsules with Size-Selective Permeability for SERS-based Molecular Analysis
초록 Small molecules such as therapeutic drugs and toxic molecules detected by its own Raman signatures and this amplified using local surface plasmon resonance on metal nanoparticles so called surface enhanced raman spectroscopy (SERS).When samples are heterogeneous, Raman signal of target molecules is interfered with Raman signal of non-target molecules and it causes low sensitivity.To minimize Raman signal disturbance from non-target molecules, samples should filtered before detection.In this work, we present semipermeable microcapsules as SERS platform to protect metal nanoparticles from surroundings and minimize unwanted Raman signal without filtering process.We designed double emulsion based microcapsules which gold nanoparticles dispersed solution at core and PLGA solution at shell using microfluidic device.Gold nanoparticle encapsulated microcapsules gain nanometer-sized crack when microcapsules incubated in hypotonic solution.We consciously control crack size which larger than target molecules and smaller than un-target molecules by imposing osmotic pressure difference.Therefore, we can get clear Raman signal of target molecules with only microcapsules without pretreatment.
