Fluorosilicones are polymers that contain fluoroalkyls in the siloxane backbone. Due to its excellent chemical and physical properties, they have a high demand in many industries, such as automotive, aerospace, and spacecrafts. Major applications of fluorosilicone include O-rings, gaskets, and hoses that require high-performance, especially low-temperature elasticity, and a key raw material of fluorosilicone is fluoroalkyl substituted chlorosilanes. We have studied detailed synthetic conditions for fluoroalkylchlorosilanes, including hydrosilylation catalyst, co-catalyst, reaction temperature, and reaction pressure. |
