제목 Blue Phosphorescent Organic Light Emitting Diodes using an Exciplex Forming Co-host with the External Quantum Efficiency of Theoretical Limit
초록 We report a high efficiency blue organic light emitting diode (OLED) approaching the theoretical efficiency using an exciplex forming co-host and Iridium(III)bis[(4,6-difluorophenyl)-pyridinato-N,C2′]picolinate (FIrpic) as a emitter. The OLED showed an external quantum efficiency of 29.5% (a maximum current efficiency of 62.2 cd A-1, and the power efficiency of 55.4 lm W-1), which agrees very well with the theoretical prediction based on the perfect electron and hole balance, the measured photoluminescent quantum yield and orientation of the transition dipole moment of FIrpic. OLED also exhibited a low driving voltage of 3 V and low efficiency roll-off.
