제목 | Improvement of Electro-optical Properties of Transmission Holographic PDLC with Siloxane Containing Matrix |
초록 | Effects of the siloxane on the electro-optic properties of holographic polymer dispersed liquid crystal(HPDLC) have been studied hoping to reduce the switching voltage. Siloxane shows flexibility, resistance to heat, high optical clarity, incompatibility with other components and low surface tension. The content of siloxane components has been systematically varied for HPDLC. The morphology of holographic gratings is examined using atomic force microscopy(AFM) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM). Real time measurements of grating formation have been obtained according to the content of siloxane components. By introducing siloxane components, the threshold voltage was decreased and improved electro-optical qualities were obtained, together with an increase in response time. |
