Preparation and physical properties of composite materials containing nanodiamonds |

In the last decade, not only the sp2 carbons such as fullerenes, carbon nanotubes and grphenes came onto focus but the nanoscopic version of the sp3 carbon namely nanodiamond has been in the center of attraction for scientists. Nanodiamonds have excellent mechanical and optical properties, high surface areas and tunable surface structures. They are also non-toxic, which makes them well suited to various applications. In this presentation, we will report preparation of composite materials containing nanodiamonds and their physical properties like thermal conductivity and hardness. |
