CN-HBE and CN-CBE which are based on cyanostilbene structure such as CN-TFMBE and CN-MBE, AIEE active organic fluorophore, were designed, synthesized and characterized. In case of CN-HBE and CN-CBE, they represented hypsochromic shift by the concentration quenching effect unlike AIEE phenomenon of CN-TFMBE and CN-MBE. The spreading behaviors of the cyanostilbene derivatives on a water surface were investigated by a measurements of the surface pressure(π)-surface area(Å) isotherms. Compression of these molecules gives rise to stable monolayers on the water surface and the condensed monolayer could be transferred successively onto a solid support such as quartz forming X and Z types LB films. Monolayer and multilayers thin films have been prepared by LB method and their Fluorescence properties were obtained as a function of the number of dipping layers and functional groups. Additionally, we use computer simulations to help determine the molecular structure at the condensed monolayer. |
