The problems of e-waste, plastic islands, and microplastics in the ocean are emerging as formidable threats to the healthy ecological state of the earth. researchers are trying to use cellulose to improve the problem. representative cellulose dissolution methods are being carried out using a toxic organic solvent such as (2,2,6,6-Tetramethylpiperidin-1-yl) oxyl (TEMPO) mediated oxidation and sulfuric acid hydrolysis. we conduct a study on how to extract cellulose more safely and environmentally friendly. Ionic liquid is non-volatile and is recyclable so Ionic liquid recently is in the spotlight. It is expected that by studying the extraction of cellulose using ionic liquids in this study, eco-friendly processes can be newly presented in the diverse field. This was supported by Korea National University of Transportation in 2021. |
