제목 Oxygen Reduction Catalytic Properties of Fe Porphyrin Like Carbon Nanotube
초록 Cathodic oxygen reduction reaction (ORR), which is the rate limiting reaction step for low-temperature fuel cells such as proton-exchange membrane and direct methanol fuel cells. In this study, the synthesis of a Fe-porphyrin-like carbon nanotube from plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition(PECVD). The seamless, covalent incorporation of the 5-6-5-6 porphyrinic Fe-N4 moiety into the graphitic side wall was investigated by x-ray photoemission spectroscopy and first-principles electronic structure calculations. The resulting biomimetic nanotube exhibits an excellent oxygen reduction catalytic activity with the extreme structural stability superior to the commercial Pt-C catalyst.
