SR of LPG was investigated to figure out the feasibility of modified Ni-based catalyst at a temperature range of 600 ~ 850oC, feed molar ratio of H2O/C = 1.0 ~ 3.0, space velocity of 10,000 ~ 30,000 h-1 and at atmospheric pressure. spc-Ni/MgAl catalyst using modified hydrotalcite was prepared by a co-precipitation method, and Ni/MgO and Ni/Al2O3 catalysts were prepared by an incipient wetness method. The characteristics of the fresh and used catalysts were analyzed by N2 Physisorption, CO Chemisorption, XRD, SIMS, SEM and TEM techniques. The spc-Ni/MgAl catalyst displayed higher BET surface area than Ni/MgO, Ni/Al2O3 and commercial ICI catalysts. It was found that the spc-Ni/MgAl catalyst showed higher conversion and H2 selectivity than the other catalysts under the same reaction conditions. |
