Organic semiconductors have a number of advantages over traditional inorganic materials, including chemical tunability, compatibility with plastic substrates, structural flexibility and solution processing if they can retain high electrical performance. Among them, thiophene-based polymers have shown highest mobility with high crystalline orders on the substrate. For example, regioregular head-to-tail poly(3-hexylthiophene)s (P3HT) with mobility of 0.1 cm2/Vs. However, development of new polymeric semiconductors with better performance is still required. In this research, we designed and synthesized a novel conjugated polythiophene derivative for solution processed OTFT. The obtained polymer was characterized by various spectroscopic methods such as IR and NMR. The thermal, optical and electrical properties of polymer were also investigated. |
