제목 Functionalized Graphene Oxide for Well-Dispersion in Organic Solvents
초록 The 2D carbon materials such as graphene and graphene oxide (GO) have attracted tremendous interest in materials science due to its unique physical and chemical properties during the last one decade. In particular, GO has been considered to be one of the most promising nanocarbons for the mass production of exfoliated graphene sheets. GO can be well-dispersed in aqueous system because of its hydrophilic nature. Since GO exhibits relatively low dispersion properties in common organic solvents such as NMP and DMAc, it often prevents other useful applications such as polymer nanocomposites based on solution mixing. The well-dispersion of GO in organic solvent is highly desirable to prepare these nanocomposite materials. In this study, we tried to improve dispersion properties of GO in organic solvents by synthesizing low molecular weight-poly(ethylene oxide)-functionalized GO.
