제목 Preparation and Characterization of poly (lactic- co- glycolic acid) (PLGA) Nano spheres through Electro spinning Method
초록 Nanoparticles formulated from Biodegradable polymers such as Polycaprolactone (PCL) & Poly (D, L- Lactic- co- Glycolide) (PLGA) are being extensively investigated as drug delivery system. In this experiment PLGA nanosphere were fabricated by using the Electro spinning Method. PLGA polymer was dissolved in Dichloromethane (DCM) and was subjected to electrospining process. The electro spinning conditions were adjusted so that streams ejected from the needle were divided into tiny particles instead of continuous fibers. The formed nano particles were collected in an aqueous medium. For using as a drug delivery system the source solutions of PLGA-DCM was incorporated with Simvastatin. The morphology and microstructure of the formed nanoparticles were characterized by SEM, FTIR, EDS etc. The drug loading and drug release profile from the fabricated nano particles were investigated and evaluated.
