제목 Controlled growth of single walled carbon nanotubes and their sensor applications
초록 Carbon nanotubes are very attracting nanoscale materials due to their noble structures and intrinsic electrical properties. Depending on the chirality of the individual nanotube, semiconducting or metallic conducting behaviors are observed. With this unique property, carbon nanotube based field effect transistor (CNT-FET) has been fabricated, which has potential in the applications such as nanoelectronic logic, biosensor, gas sensor, NEMS, etc. CNT-FET generally shows p-type channel transistor behavior and various chemical/physical methods have been attempted to dope the channel with appropriate materials resulting in the conversion of p-type to n-type channel transistor. In this presentation, diameter controlled growth of single walled carbon nanotubes and CNT-FET device fabrication will be introduced. Chemical functionalization of carbon nanotube surface with polymers and their corresponding effects on the electrical and chemical properties will also be discussed.
