제목 | Effect of Lithium Boron Oxide Coating on Li[Ni0.8Co0.1Mn0.1]O2 Cathodes for Lithium Ion Batteries |
초록 | Recently, LiNixCoyMn1-x-yO2 cathode materials (Ni content ≤60%) have been successfully adopted in commercial lithium ion batteries (LIBs). However, it is still difficult to satisfy requirement of electric vehicles due to their low energy density. LiNi0.8Co0.1Mn0.1O2 cathode active materials have been intensively considered for LIBs on account of their high specific capacity. In this study, to suppress the degradation behavior and enhance the discharge performance, we have adopted a lithium boron oxide as a coating material. The structural and morphological properties are characterized by X-ray diffraction and electron microscopy. In addition, the electrochemical properties are characterized using galvanostatic cycler, cyclic voltammetry, and impedance spectrum analyzer, and so on. |
