제목 Selective Ring Opening of MCP and MCH overBifunctional Catalyst
초록 Selective ring opening is one of the most viable processes to address the issues of high aromaticity in transportation fuels. It is a very complex reaction and represents a challenge to the researchers involved in catalyst development. The present paper describes the development of Iridium based bifunctional catalysts for selective ring opening of naphthenes with minimum cleavage of side chains. A series of Iridium catalysts supported on γ-alumina, silica and USY-zeolites were prepared and the selective ring opening of methylcyclopentane (MCP) and methylcyclohexane (MCH) was investigated. The reaction conditions such as temperature, pressure, contact time and the feed/catalyst ratio were optimized.
