제목 Fabrication of SERS substrate using silver nanoparticle-embedded thin silica coated graphene oxide
초록 Silver nanoparticle-embedded thin silica-coated graphene oxide (GO@SiO2@Ag NPs) was fabricated for using as a surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) substrate. First, GO was coated with 6 nm layer of silica by the physical adsorption of sodium silicate, following by the hydrolysis of 3-mercaptopropyl trimethoxysilane in basic condition to functionalize the surface of silica-coated GO with thiol-groups. To prepare GO@SiO2@Ag NPs, Ag NPs were then introduced onto the GO@SiO2 by the reduction of Ag+ by octylamine in ethylene glycol at room temperature. For application, GO@SiO2@Ag was used to detect 4-mercaptobenzoic acid (4-MBA). The detection limit of GO@SiO2@Ag NPs for 4-MBA was as low as 0.74 µM.
