Improved physical property of poly(ethylene glycol) based poly(acrylic acid) hydrogels prepared by electron beam irradiation |
초록 |
Poly(acrylic acid) (PAAc) is an interesting material with good biocompatibility, high elasticity and hydrophilic chacrateristics. In this study, poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) based PAAc hydrogels were prepared by gamma-ray irradiation to improve adhesion property. PAAc powder and PEG were dissolved in the distilled water (DIW) by using a mechanical stirrer and then irradiated by electron beam. The PEG/PAAc hydrogels were annealed to improve mechanical property in the range of 100~130¡É. The physical properties of hydrogles such as gel fraction, swelling behavior, gel strength and adhesive strength were investigated. |
